Before You Start: Understanding the System
WPC wall cladding is a rainscreen system. The objective is not to create a fully sealed barrier, but to manage water that penetrates the outer layer: controlled water entry, reliable drainage, and drying potential are the design principles behind a durable ventilated facade .
Key Installation Principles
Ventilation is essential – A ventilated air gap behind the cladding allows moisture to escape and prevents condensation buildup. Sealing the cavity bottom shut is a common mistake that traps moisture .
Expansion gaps are non-negotiable – WPC expands and contracts with temperature changes. Install with 3mm–6mm gaps between boards and at ends .
The substrate must be flat – Uneven walls will cause alignment issues and stress on the fixing system.

Step-by-Step Installation Process
Step 1: Prepare the Substrate and Install Furring Strips
The cladding system must be installed over a flat, sound substrate. Fix furring strips vertically or horizontally depending on your panel orientation .

Fix starter clips to each batten/joist using the provided stainless steel screws .
Ensure the clips are aligned and secure before proceeding.
Step 3: Install the First Cladding Board
Align the concealed groove of the first panel with the starter clips and press into place .
Predrill a 3mm pilot hole through the top channel of the board .
Secure the top of the board to each joist with a cladding screw .
Step 4: Install Subsequent Boards
Slot the concealed groove of the next board into the top groove of the installed board .
Predrill and fix the top channel with cladding screws to each supporting joist .
Repeat across the entire wall.
Step 5: Install Around Fixtures
Cut panels to fit around windows, doors, and other penetrations .
Where the top groove cannot be fixed to a joist, use a colourmatched trim screw to facefix the panel .
Step 6: Install the Final Board
If the final board needs cutting along its length, facefix it using colourcoded trim screws .
Step 7: Apply Finishing Trims
Install corner trims, edge profiles, and window surrounds for a crisp, professional appearance .
Trims can be fixed with adhesive or colourcoded screws .
